Tataiah means grandfather in telugu. I love my grandfather and he loves me more. I am blessed to have two grandparents who are quite diverse from the other. For my paternal grandfather, I am the first grandchild and dad being the only son they had I am the first girl child in the family and they love me for that.
When he saw me for the first time had to wipe his tears constantly for the joy of seeing me 🙂 I smiled and kicked on in joy and he loved me doing that. He keeps bringing me gifts, snacks that nanamma makes and keeps visiting me often. He travels a lot for his job and at each possible time he makes sure to drop in. When he is here he takes me to the mall, gets me whatever I want and spends quality time with me. Dad gets jealous sometimes about this 🙂
He had told dad that he would get nothing from the inheritance and has to tend for his own and I would get all the savings, gold and stuff they save! Being a girl child, I am very happy that things are changing in here and hope there are more grandparents and parents who would think in these lines.
Love you Tataiah.
I met Santa this year for the first time. I was scared to see him. He is not the same Santa I know.
The Santa I see in jingle bells is different. My Santa is cuddly, calm, smiling and has lots of chocolates and presents. This santa had cotton for his hair and beard. THough he tried to be nice when dad got on to the chariot with him and me, I didn’t like him. I cried looking at him.
Mom and Dad tried their best to make me friends with him but I did not like him. I like my santa in rhymes and cartoons better.
Dad says I will understand when I grow up and said it is okay if I didn’t want to get close to Santa 🙂 I get my gifts from my rhymes santa anyways and this santa here at the mall is just a friend of my santa. We had a nice lunch and came back home.
Tell me about your visit to the Santa? Tell him I miss him!
I love rains. I love the drop go plop plop plop, pit pot, tip tap, plop again. We as a family love the rains. Mom enjoys her tea in the rain, I love getting wet, running around, playing with rain drops, dad loves being with us ensuring I get hot water bath later and try to get me inhale some steam and so on. We even have redone the rain rain rhyme. Want to see what that is?
Rain rain don’t go away
Come again everyday
Little Tigress wants to play!
So whenever it rains, we run tot he balconies, windows and watch the beautiful nature unfold its power and water pour down from the skies over everything, drenching them, cleansing them and refreshing them. I love rainbows too. We go chasing them when we see them. Do you know there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and lots of presents too?
What do you like to do in rains? I love ice cream, hot fries and the music of nature. Mom says if I go out get drenched in rain and get sick or catch cold, it is good because I am building up resistance and my body will adjust to the weather easily. Dad says just go have fun and come back. He has to carry me on his shoulder all night when I fall sick 🙂
Do you let your children have fun in the rain? Let me know.
Do you know the importance of having time for myself? Yes I need quiet time too. Time when I don’t play, don’t run around or indulge in activities that you all want us to do. Time when I take to be with myself and do what I love. I usually take some time to relax when i wake up and wait for dad to whip up my milk and cream. I also have a quiet time when I choose to read from my books collection.
This is important because we all need time to process what we have gone through all through the day and need time to store what is important and what is not and this quiet time is need to reflect on that. When adults need time to think and relax, we kids need it too. Parents like you should encourage quiet time off all gadgets and distractions and let us use some time to think, to learn, to just relax. Life is tough already and taking a bit of time for myself actually helps me unwind. What do you think?
You know I am good with animals? My name is Tigress right? Well all kids are good with animals as they have an open mind and are clean in their thoughts and expectations. I love pigeons and playing with them all the while at the park is one of my favorite things. They all run away when I chase them and come back to settle and again I chase them 🙂
This one ventured into my house at and didn’t go out easily. Grandpa and mom were cautious that it might harm me but I jumped right in and played with it gently. She had water and was so scared. We let her relax and after sometime when she was calmed down and ready to fly away we let her go away.
Every time I go to park I look for dogs, birds and other pets to play and dad has promised me to get a pup but mom is scared and we will have to wait till she gets convinced. Next time I will share about my another friend Zuko who is a German shepherd. Dad when will I get my own pet? Mom.. please….
How can it be something else? Well that’s what they thought when I picked up orange as my favorite color. Dad likes black and mom white and they thought I would be particular too but didn’t expect the orange to come up.
I just loooove orange color and the fruit too. I always pick an orange colored toy, orange colored dresses, shoes, paints, crayons and so on. All the walls in our home are painted with orange as I use orange color crayons a lot.
I also like pink, red and yellow in the order but Orange has a special place! What is your favorite color?
Now how do I tell about her? She was the single most important person in my dad’s life and he was for her till I came in to this world. Now I am the single most important person for both of them. Dad named me after her and calls me dearly addressing her name. She loves me so much and sends me dishes that I love and makes special peanut powder for me. Her fish curry is legendary and is the best fish curry in the world. When she comes to meet me she brings me toys, dresses, gifts, lot many kisses and loads of love.
Nanamma is my dearest paternal grand mother and loves me more than my dad and mom put together. SHe prays for me and ensures I am protected and worries about me all the time. I am the first girl child in her close relations and because dad is so close to her she loves me even more. She calls me Chinnitalli and chats with me on phone all the time. I tell her so many things which she understands and she can chide dad if he doesn’t listen to me 🙂 It’s like she is dad’s super boss!
Last week when she was here she took me out for lunch and we went in a train to play and she got me so many stars, fryums, ice cream and juice. She listed to all my stories, took me for a walk and spent so much time with me. When she was leaving she prayed for me to be healthy, wealthy and useful for the Lord. I will be so some day. Thank you nanamma. You are the best and I love you sooooo much.
I am pampered and am well taken care of, who isn’t when they are small and cute like me. Mom and dad take care still mosquitoes come in when we open doors. Because mom is against having any vaporizer at home for fighting them she goes on to be a batman at home killing the mosquitoes before we go to bed.
She also nicknamed them mosqui (pronounced as Mosquee) and I love it when she chases them around then house with the bat. When I find a mosquito I scream mosqui and mom charges on to hit it out of the park. Suii.. tap tap tap tap suii.. and they are roasted 🙂
There are some good solutions like using eucalyptus oil when you mop the floor, neem oil, aloevera based creams but the best solution is a net on the cot or having a bat to chase them out. Keeping the windows and doors closed when mosquitoes usually come in also helps.
The post is not about how to do keep them away but what happens when I am bit by one. Dad applies vicks around it and holds me while I adjust from my startled sleep and doze off again. Applying vicks actually helps in reducing the itchiness as well as controlling the spread of poison. You can also use it for many other things like insect bites, rashes, cuts and wounds. Apply lightly around the wound so it helps reduce the pain.
I love lollipop. Dad didn’t introduce chocolates till I was almost 3 years old. I wasn’t aware of chocolates at all and never liked the taste anyway. I love fruits and juices but like fresh ones.
So going back to lollipop, when I was in Hyderabad, Jessie akka and others used to eat lollipops in my presence and I got curious. Mom decided to cheat and get me one. Wow! It was amazing and I loved it. It is one of my favorite snacks now. Dad gets me so many flavours and shapes. Whenever I am cranky or looking for a snack, I pop one open 🙂
Now let me go back to my play. Have fun.
