Sleep time

It is 3 AM. I am restless. I think it is too hot. Dad is resting next to me. Mom is hidden in the blanket as she feels cold. Dad and me are alike in many ways. We both want the fan to be in full speed all the time. Not that it is too hot, I am moving around and woke up dad. Mom had a long day and is trying to catch up on sleep. So dad takes me on his shoulders and brings me to the living room. This is our routine everyday. I sleep on his shoulder while he stroll in the hall instead of the bed humming some lullaby. I love to fall asleep on his shoulders.

Mom tells him he is pampering me and it is difficult for her to do the same after a tiring day as I am used to sleep on his shoulders. I think she is right. Both of them pamper me 🙂

Ain’t it a blessing to have loving parents? Thank you Lord for mum and dad.

I am a little painter

Every kid starts scribbling as soon as they learn to master their motor skills and it is a wonderful journey. Three days ago, dad finally got me some crayons that mom had been asking and I just loved them.

I think there is an artist in me and that artist is already being love by you all. You know I love you all too? Coming back to my drawing skills, I am already a great straight line drawing expert and a scribbler. Mom and dad discovered I am all set to repaint our home and dad has to pay them to paint when we move out but we are just having fun. I love the attention and dad is continuously clicking pictures and shooting videos and telling me I am a great artist and a good girl. What more motivation do you need when your mom hugs you when you scribble on her bag, furniture and dresses?

Encourage my friends to do the same. Uncles and aunties, let your kid paint, scribble and have as much fun as possible as dad tells me it increases the creativity and pure joy is priceless.

Finally before bidding good night here is the video dad wanted to share with you all. How do you like my new hair cut?

Good night.

What happens when you swallow a flower?

Nothing!
Mom has several of the dried up flowers that dad gave her and I found out where that was 🙂
Wait for it. Don’t just jump ahead of the story. Let me narrate. So I found the roses, lillies and other flower bouquets and I was playing with them. Dad found me and ran to pick me up but I managed to take a little lilly in to my mouth. Dad had to remove the flower from my mouth. I bit him properly and still he was relieved that I didnt swallow it. It was fun to see dad panic and then get relieved when he saw I didn’t swallow it yet.
Does your kids swallow stuff? What do you do?

World’s best fish curry

Nanamma and tatayya(Granny and granpa) have come to see me after a long time. Did I tell you that I am named after her? She is an amazing cook and she used to send amazing food snacks to mom for me. I was in tummy so all mom eat I yanjayaeeed!

Nanamma makes the world’s best fish curry. Hands down. She loves to make it spicy like dad likes it but now tones it down to match my palate. I loved the fish and relished it. We played a lot of games and had loads of fun. I will tell you more details soon.

What is your favorite food item?

Kicking fever

Woke up restless with high temperature today. Mom is shocked, dad is worried. But you know what I am cool. I sang them nice songs and fought with dad to ease the tension off.

Dad complains that I scratch, kick and maul him a lot. But you know I am just warming up and he loves it 🙂 Dad prayed for me and told nanamma to pray too.

I am hoping I will get well by evening. Pray for me. Love you all. Now back to kicking dad 🙂 Yeeeeeeyyy dishkaunnnnn…..

Dad’s Birthday

It was Dad’s Birthday yesterday and we had loads of fun.

At 11:30pm on August 30th mom was sad because I was sleeping. She wanted me to wish dad and be there with dad during cake cutting at 12 in the night but I slept early.
Dad said he will cut the cake in the morning when I am awake. Mom was sad.

I slept till 11:58 pm ( I was actually acting Shhh… secret )
I got up at 11:58 and mom was very happy. I cut the cake along with dad and then came the surprise part. I gave him a special and surprise gift. It was completely  a surprise for dad which me and mom planned and he loved it very much.

Yes, that’s a surprise for you as well… I will let you know very soon what gift did I present dad that night 🙂

Proud to be an Indian

Independence day!

I am proud to be born in a free country. I am too little to understand the concept of independence but mom and dad tell me it is an awesome to be able to sleep without fear, to communicate, to learn, to live and to have fun.

To celebrate, mom came up with an awesome dress for me to show off and grandma improvised the design. Here is the super cute dress I got to wear today. The little stain is from the awesome fish I had 🙂

I wish I could write more but dad has fever. Okay off I go, have to take care of Dad.

Happy Independence day to you all.
